Moving forward, and focusing on what’s important

Wednesday was a day of mourning. I couldn’t concentrate, couldn’t work. The streets in my neighborhood were eerily quiet, as if the entire community was hollow. We took a walk in the woods and ate comfort foods.

Starting yesterday, I’ve begun to think about how to move forward – where to focus my horror, sadness, and anger, and how I want to fight.

I also want to remind myself, and everyone reading this, how important you are to me and how much of a priority I make for family, friends, and community. Thank you for being in my life.
